UK gas price comparison services, surprisingly do not always come up with the same results when finding you the cheapest prices. In this article I’ll look at why this might be and what you can do about it.
There are three main reasons:
1) The gas price comparison service didn’t have your correct tariff or doesn’t have all available tariffs to compare. If this is the case then clearly you are not going to get a very accurate comparison and are unlikely to get the best price. I would recommend using a different service.
2) Prices may have recently changes and not all gas price comparison services have been updated. In these circumstances it ma be worth using all three comparison sites and seeing if two of them give you the same answer. Read more
